American Traveler is hiring a General Ultrasound Technologist with vascular experience, including DVT studies, for a solo night shift position at a short-term acute care hospital in the Pacific Northwest.

General ultrasound unit with a focus on all-around sonography, including vascular and DVT studies

Solo night shift position requiring comfort and competency working independently

3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Friday through Sunday

Travelers are expected to float within the facility and across the health system; refusal to float as requested may result in contract cancellation

Minimum of 1 year of general ultrasound experience

Vascular experience, including DVT studies, is required
-
BLS, ARDMS (AB and OB) certifications required
-
Active Oregon state license, or proof of Oregon license application and fingerprinting, required if applicable

One professional reference from a Charge Nurse, Supervisor, or Manager required for consideration, preferably from within the last year
-
No felony convictions accepted; any background hit requires a traveler explanation statement and applicable waiver documentation

Perform general ultrasound studies with a strong emphasis on vascular and DVT examinations
-
Scrub color must be any solid color except camouflage, all black, burgundy, and dark green; no printed patterns
-
Pre-assignment modules, skills testing, competencies, and compliance activities are required and estimated to take 4–8 hours to complete

All compliance documentation must be submitted by the Wednesday prior to the start date

Maximum of 7 days of RTO permitted; no RTO during the first 2 weeks of the assignment; all RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration

Candidates must not reside within 50 miles of any Legacy facility; local candidates are not accepted

Former staff must have been separated from the facility or system for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
-
Low census mandatory cancellation requires notification 1.5 hours before the start of a shift; mandatory cancellation may occur one shift per two-week pay period without cause or penalty
