American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Labor & Delivery position in Eureka, CA, requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience, CA RN licensure, and Epic proficiency.

Night shift position: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM
-
26-week contract
-
Labor & Delivery unit with 11–15 beds and an average daily census of 15–20 patients
-
Postpartum experience is preferred
-
High-risk OB patient population serving a culturally diverse community
-
RNs are expected to circulate on cesarean sections
-
Weekend work required to meet staffing needs
-
Floating within scope of practice is required; travelers are first to float, including between sister facilities within the state

Epic EMR experience required
-
Active CA RN license required; pending licenses are not accepted
-
Compact license must be active and in hand at time of consideration
-
Minimum 1 year of L&D experience required
-
Epic EMR proficiency required
-
BLS required (standard certifications applicable to L&D apply)

SSN and DOB required for consideration
-
2 supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting

Previous Providence facility work history (permanent, travel, or per diem) must be disclosed

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Local candidates are accepted; candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are subject to a lower bill rate
-
Former permanent staff of the facility must wait at least 3 months before returning and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

RTO is capped at 7 days for the duration of the contract; all RTO requests must be submitted upfront
-
Must commit to working 3 of the following 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day

Refusal to float between facilities may result in termination of assignment

Facility does not accept candidates with Nursys or background check hits
