Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping journey
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Assist with product demos and upselling to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Maintain attractive merchandise displays by merchandising and stocking shelves regularly
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of items
- Manage inventory by stocking shelves, organizing back stock, and performing regular stock checks
- Follow phone etiquette standards when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support cashiering duties with basic math calculations for transactions and refunds
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of the sales floor to promote a positive shopping environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math concepts
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership qualities are a plus for those interested in growth opportunities
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management
- Excellent phone etiquette and customer service skills to handle inquiries professionally
- Knowledge of merchandising, stocking procedures, and product demos enhances effectiveness in this role
