We are seeking a reliable and motivated General Shop/Shipping Assistant to join our team in North Charleston, SC. This full-time position supports manufacturing and shipping operations through part preparation, packaging, organization, engraving assistance, and general shop maintenance.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Polish and de-burr manufactured parts
- Sort and organize parts for internal workflows
- Prepare parts for outside services and shipments
- Package parts securely for delivery
- Perform shipping tasks and maintain shipping documentation
- Assist with engraving and laser marking as needed
- Support other departments when requested
- Maintain shop cleanliness, including:
- Sweeping
- Mopping
- Vacuuming
- Trash removal
- Follow quality and safety standards at all times
Additional responsibilities may be assigned to support operational needs.
Qualifications Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience
- Manufacturing or shop experience preferred
- 1 year of assembly experience preferred
- 1 year of packaging experience preferred
- 1 year of forklift experience preferred
