We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your expertise in food safety and customer service will ensure that every guest has an exceptional experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, including equipment, counters, and dining areas.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for cash handling and customer transactions.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Manage time effectively to ensure timely service during peak hours while maintaining quality standards.
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels of supplies and reporting shortages as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food service industry is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha POS, is a plus.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to enhance customer interactions.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
