Quality Control Technician – Dover, DE
Pay: $19–$25/hr, Shift: 8:00am-4:30pm M-F
Placers is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our client’s Quality Laboratories team. This role involves performing sampling and testing of raw materials and components in a cGMP laboratory environment. You’ll work on both routine and non-routine laboratory projects, ensuring compliance with FDA and ISO standards while supporting overall quality initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Perform sampling and testing of raw materials, components, and special projects using established methods.
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, FDA 21 CFR 820, and company quality procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Purchasing, R&D, Engineering, etc.) to meet inspection deadlines.
- Manage material flow in coordination with planning and scheduling.
- Accurately document inspection results with minimal errors.
- Support investigations of non-conformances and out-of-specification (OOS) results.
- Maintain 5S standards and uphold safety/EHS requirements in the lab.
- Work on non-routine projects as directed by laboratory leadership.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related software.
- Ability to pass an extensive background check and drug screening.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in an FDA-regulated or cGMP laboratory.
- Familiarity with SAP.
- Working knowledge of FDA 21 CFR Part 210/211/820, ISO 13485, and ISO 14971.
Work Environment:
- May involve working in non-climate-controlled warehouse areas.
- Requires use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Flexible schedule with occasional overtime as needed.
