Job Overview
Embody Health is seeking a compassionate and experienced PRN Pelvic Health Physical Therapist (PT) to join our growing women’s health team. This is a paid-per-visit position offering flexible scheduling and the opportunity to provide specialized, one-on-one pelvic health care to women throughout every stage of life.
As a Pelvic Health Therapist at Embody Health, you will provide evidence-based care to women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, pregnancy-related changes, postpartum concerns, bladder and bowel dysfunction, pelvic pain, sexual health concerns, and other conditions affecting pelvic and core function.

This PRN, paid-per-visit position provides flexibility while allowing you to build meaningful relationships with patients and collaborate with other women's health professionals to provide comprehensive, whole-person care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive pelvic health evaluations, including assessment of pelvic floor function, anatomy, strength, coordination, mobility, posture, and functional limitations.
- Evaluate and treat women experiencing pelvic floor dysfunction, pelvic pain, urinary or fecal incontinence, urinary urgency or frequency, constipation, prolapse-related symptoms, and other pelvic health concerns.
- Provide specialized care for women during pregnancy and the postpartum period, including recovery following vaginal or cesarean delivery.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, patient goals, medical history, lifestyle, and functional needs.
- Provide evidence-based interventions such as pelvic floor rehabilitation, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, trigger point therapy, neuromuscular re-education, mobility training, breathing and core coordination, and patient education.
- Educate patients on pelvic floor anatomy and function, body mechanics, exercise, bladder and bowel health, postpartum recovery, and strategies for managing symptoms at home.
- Support women in addressing pelvic health concerns that may affect intimacy, sexual health, physical activity, exercise, work, and overall quality of life.
- Provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive care while maintaining patient dignity, privacy, and comfort.
- Collaborate with gynecologists, obstetricians, primary care providers, urogynecologists, midwives, lactation professionals, and other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive women's healthcare.
- Identify concerns that may require additional medical evaluation and facilitate appropriate referrals when indicated.
- Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR/EHR), including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge documentation.
- Provide individualized home exercise programs and recommendations to support continued progress between visits.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding evaluations, treatment plans, progress, and expected outcomes.
- Participate in patient education initiatives, workshops, and community outreach related to women's pelvic health and wellness.
- Maintain current knowledge of evidence-based practices in pelvic and women's health rehabilitation.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Physical Therapist (PT) license in the applicable state.
- Specialized education, training, or clinical experience in pelvic health and/or women's health rehabilitation preferred.
- Experience treating pelvic floor dysfunction, postpartum patients, women's health conditions, or related musculoskeletal conditions strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of pelvic anatomy, physiology, musculoskeletal function, and common women's pelvic health conditions.
- Experience developing individualized treatment plans using evidence-based rehabilitation techniques.
- Comfortable providing pelvic health assessments and treatments in a professional, respectful, and patient-centered manner.
- Strong understanding of pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the physical changes associated with pregnancy and childbirth.
- Excellent communication and patient education skills, with the ability to discuss sensitive health concerns with compassion and professionalism.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and accurate clinical documentation.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining excellent clinical judgment, patient safety, and continuity of care.
- Strong collaboration skills and a commitment to working as part of a multidisciplinary women's health team.
