American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with a minimum of 2 years of pediatric and/or neonatal ICU experience for a night shift PICU travel assignment at a children's hospital.

Work in a 145-bed children's hospital at a Level 2 Trauma center
-
Rotates across NICU, PICU, and CICU units
-
Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:00)

Weekend work required
-
Floating within scope to meet facility needs is required
-
No floating to sister facilities
-
Charting in Epic (required)
-
Servo I ventilator experience required
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in pediatric and/or neonatal ICU respiratory therapy

RRT credential required
-
Active NE state RT license required — if not yet obtained, must apply within 48 hours of contract signing

Required certifications: BLS, PALS
-
Preferred certifications: ACLS, NRP
-
Epic EMR experience required
-
Teaching hospital experience preferred
-
Trauma Level I experience preferred

Proficiency with Servo I ventilators required
-
Experience with invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, including BiPAP, CPAP, high frequency jet ventilator, and high frequency oscillator

Skills in airway management, pulmonary hygiene, aerosol/medication delivery, and ABG interpretation
-
Responsibilities include natural and artificial airway management, invasive and non-invasive ventilator management, cardiopulmonary assessment, bronchial hygiene therapies, respiratory medication delivery, medical gas therapy, aerosol and humidity management, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation

Patient education duties include asthma, trach care, and pulmonary disease instruction

Experience with ECMO, high-risk delivery assistance, nitric oxide therapy, and bronchoscopy care is preferred

Any scrub color is acceptable

Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO of 5 days or fewer is preferred; 6–10 days of RTO may require adding time to the end of the contract
