Responsibilities
- Safely operate a box truck or similar vehicle following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and route schedules.
- Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), or other equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Assist with moving items within warehouses or delivery sites, ensuring proper weight handling in the workplace.
- Deliver products directly to customers’ locations, providing excellent customer service and ensuring satisfaction.
- Verify delivery details, obtain signatures when required, and document all deliveries accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the vehicle and work area throughout your shift.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during route driving to ensure safety for yourself and others.
- Install appliances in customers homes safely
Qualifications
- Previous delivery driver experience or courier background preferred; familiarity with route driving is a plus.
- Warehouse experience including manual handling, heavy lifting, and load & unload procedures.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or similar commercial vehicle with manual transmission is desirable.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe lifting practices to ensure compliance and safety on the job.
- Ability to handle weight safely in the workplace using appropriate equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts (certification preferred).
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items repeatedly throughout the shift while maintaining proper manual handling techniques.
