Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ respiratory status through detailed evaluation of vital signs, oxygen levels, and physical examination findings.
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments including nebulizers, oxygen therapy, and aerosol medications with precision and care.
- Manage airway interventions during emergencies or routine procedures, including intubation assistance and airway clearance techniques.
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Conduct patient assessments to determine the need for respiratory interventions; monitor responses to treatments and adjust therapies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, patient responses, medication administration, and vital signs in compliance with policies.
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Respiratory Therapist from the appropriate state licensing board. We are open to both CRT and RRT.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are preferred.
- Experience working in emergency medicine or acute care settings is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with pulmonology concepts, medication administration protocols, and medical terminology relevant to respiratory therapy.
- Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while maintaining a compassionate approach for pediatrics, geriatrics, and diverse patient populations.
