WHO WE ARE
Shred 27 is a boutique fitness studio in Rocklin built around women over 40 who are serious about getting their energy, confidence, and body back. We run HIIT, strength, and specialty group classes — and we're owned and operated by a Registered Nurse. That means our standards for programming, safety, and member experience are unusually high.
We're a small team. Every person on the floor carries real weight. Our culture runs on three values: Acta Non Verba (we do what we say), Kaizen (we get better every day), and Ubuntu (we rise together).
You'll lead small group fitness classes — sessions run 30 minutes, and strength and specialty formats run 45–60 minutes. Every class is coached, not just led. You'll know your members by name, modify for them in real time, and make every session feel personal.
This is a part-time role with the opportunity to grow along with the right person. We get that most coaches have something else going on. What we need is that when you're here, you're fully here. Members plan their week around your class.
There's also room for the right coach to bring their own interests to the floor. For example, one of our current coaches built out a flow class because it was something he genuinely loved. That kind of ownership is exactly what we're after.

DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead safe, high-energy group classes with class-specific cueing and real-time form corrections
- Arrive 15 minutes early
- Greet every member by name; follow up with no-shows
- Complete attendance and member notes before your next shift
- Communicate proactively. If something's off, say something
- Participate in weekly team check-ins
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required:
- Current group fitness or personal training certification (NASM, ACE, NSCA, ISSA, or equivalent)
- CPR/AED certification (current)
- 1+ year coaching group fitness or personal training
Nice to have:
- Experience with adult women or mixed-fitness populations
- Familiarity with InBody or body composition tools
- Interest in training science, nutrition, or recovery
COMPENSATION
- $20–$28/hr to start + class volume bonuses, based on experience and certifications
- Performance bonuses tied to member retention and attendance

Pay: $20.00 - $50.00 per hour
