DELIVERY PROCESSING ASSOCIATE

Purpose: The Delivery Processing Associate assists the Operations and Vendor Managers in day-to-day coordination, scheduling inbound and outbound deliveries, assisting in locating parts, vendor relations, contract interpretation, and other duties as needed.

- Acts as a liaison between the company and any 3rd party carriers or vendors to ensure execution of promised deliveries.
- Ability to reinforce or substitute our receiving coordinator when necessary.
- Resolves discrepancies with accounting regarding invoices, packing slips, receiver reports, and other vendor or 3rd party disputes.
- Schedules incoming and outgoing freight and collaborates with various delivery drivers from our vendors and 3rd party carriers.
- Assists operations supervisors with 3rd party and vendor contract interpretation.
- Assists the receiving and shipping department in logging all incoming inventory purchases and loss prevention department with any investigation when required.
- Monitors and measures receiving and warehouse performance for accuracy of locator, receiving reporting, movement and storage of material, and transfers to service parts.
- Determines Return to Vendor (RTV) volume and ensures that RTV shipments are processed in a timely manner.
- Classifies, labels and warehouses all product inventory for future use.
- Places parts orders for services as well as for distribution stock.
- Helps assist any visitors to the building and ensure they sign in properly.
- Works in compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a Distribution Center/Warehouse environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to safely lift 50 pounds while loading/unloading furniture and operating powered equipment, hand trucks, and carts.
- Ability to quickly move your hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects when handling, installing, positioning, or moving furniture.
- Experience working with/around powered equipment, warehouse machinery, and hand/power tools preferred
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Positive working attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Available to work over-time as needed
- Basic proficiency with computer skills to include Microsoft Office
- Fundamental understanding of vendor and 3rd party contracts
- Ability to work efficiently and effectively in Word and Excel
- Demonstrated success in a Customer Service role is preferred

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
