- Have patient complete paper work and enter all pertinent patient information into practice management software.
- Acquire the necessary signatures.
- Verify insurance eligibility and frequencies per patient or family.
- Scan necessary or assigned documents• into patient’s chart.
- Make sure waiting room is neat and tidy.
- Keep reception area clean and dusted.
- Ensures clinical forms and documents are in stock; refill as needed.
- Compile end of day packet i.e number of walk ins/emergencies
- Send out statements and recall postcards on the 1st of the month.
- Carry out any specific task asked by the manager quickly and efficiently.
- Assist fellow coworkers when called upon.
- Assist the manager in maintaining standards, conditions and procedures in clinic in accordance with regulatory standard requirements.
- Follow department of Dental Medicine and Hospital Rules and Regulations.
- Register patients during periods of short staffing as determined by the clinic manager and/or director
- Ensure friendly interaction and communication between patients and coworkers.
Position Requirements Formal Education and Job-Related Experience: This position requires a minimum formal education of High School Diploma or equivalent and a
minimum of 1 year job-related experience. Computer knowledge in Microsoft and Excel Required: Fully bilingual in English and Spanish
Desired (not required) criteria include: Strong backrpund in the dental field terminology.
Comments At least one year of experience as a secretary/secretary assistant.
Tuesday-Saturday - 9am-5pm.
Hourly Rate - $24.9752 - $27.4606
