Responsible for the implementation of proactive residential education operations to promote student holistic well-being, academic success, and community development. Responsible for representing Residence Life through partnership with internal and external groups. Champions student success through communication initiatives, leadership opportunities, and crisis management. The incumbent must live in CSU-owned housing. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in education, counseling, business management, or related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in residence life and housing program management, which includes leadership experience.
- Ability to work varied hours to include evenings and weekends as needed.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to establish and maintain driver eligibility under CSU Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree, preferably in education, counseling, business management, or related field.
- Experience in higher education, especially regarding residence life and housing program management
- Experience in student programming or advising.
- Experience using residence life software and systems.

- Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Skilled in project management, problem-solving, analysis, follow-through, influence, and persuasion.
- Possess a high degree of confidentiality to available information.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
