Job Summary:
Established in 1930, Kenwood Country Club is the premier family club in the Cincinnati area and one of the top Clubs in the Midwest. The club offers tremendous facilities including two championship, 18-hole golf courses, tennis, paddle tennis, state-of-the-art fitness center, an expansive pool and pavilion area, and a sophistically renovated clubhouse. The club has a total of 925 members and remains on a waitlist of approximately two years for social membership and five years for golf membership.

The club seeks to hire a Bartender. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, strong knowledge of spirits and cocktails, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service to our members and guests. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the member experience by providing friendly, efficient, and high-quality beverage service in a refined, yet relaxed country club atmosphere.
Job Description:

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to members and guests in accordance with club recipes and service standards.

Greet members warmly, build rapport, and ensure a welcoming and professional environment at the bar.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including restocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and following sanitation standards.

Handle cash and credit transactions accurately using the club’s point-of-sale (POS) system.

Monitor guest alcohol consumption and ensure responsible service in compliance with local laws and club policies.

Assist with private events, banquets, and special functions as needed.

Collaborate with the food and beverage team to ensure seamless service between the bar and dining areas.

Stay informed about club events, promotions, and seasonal offerings to engage members and enhance their experience.

Follow all safety and security procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; formal bartending training or certification preferred.

Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience, preferably in a hospitality or private club setting.

Excellent knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer, and spirits.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.

Must be at least 21 years old (or legal minimum age).

Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

TIPS or other responsible alcohol service certification (preferred or required by local regulations).
