Powder Coating Prep Technician – Entry Level

What You’ll Do
You’ll support our production team by preparing customer parts for coating and keeping our shop running smoothly. Every day brings something different, and you’ll learn the full workflow of a professional powder coating operation.
- Review job paperwork and follow prep instructions
- Gather materials: powders, masking supplies, cleaners, conversion chemicals
- Prep surfaces using pneumatic sanders, abrasive pads, brushes, degreasers, and conversion wipes
- Mask, tape, and protect surfaces before coating
- Assist with light shop maintenance (filter changes, booth cleaning, waste removal/recycling)
- Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Prepare finished parts for pickup/delivery without damage
- Complete basic shop paperwork (part counts, powder usage, inspections)
- Perform daily forklift inspections and operate safely
- Lift up to 50 lbs and handle physically demanding tasks
- Support the team with additional duties as needed
