Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our onsite team at a 347-unit apartment community. This role is critical to maintaining the safety, functionality, and overall appearance of the property while delivering excellent service to our residents.
The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and takes pride in maintaining apartment homes and community spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily maintenance and repairs including:
- Plumbing (leaks, clogs, fixtures)
- Electrical (outlets, switches, lighting)
- HVAC troubleshooting and basic repairs
- Appliances (refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers, washers/dryers)
- Complete apartment turns (make-readies), including:
- Drywall repair
- Painting and touch-ups
- Flooring repairs
- Lock changes
- Respond to work orders and emergency maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies
- Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize future repairs
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of mechanical rooms, grounds, and common areas
- Follow all safety procedures, fair housing guidelines, and company policies
- Communicate effectively with property management and residents
Qualifications
- Minimum 1–3 years of multifamily maintenance experience preferred
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
- EPA Certification (Type I or Universal) preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work indoors/outdoors in various weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Professional demeanor and customer-service mindset
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
