Job Title: Caretaker / Maintenance Technician
Job Summary:
The Caretaker/Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the overall condition, safety, and appearance of a multi-family apartment community. This role ensures timely completion of repairs, preventative maintenance, and grounds upkeep to provide a clean and comfortable living environment for residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, etc.)
- Respond promptly to work orders and emergency maintenance requests
- Maintain cleanliness and appearance of common areas and grounds
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings and systems
- Assist with unit turns, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of general maintenance and repair work
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions
Schedule:
Full-time; may require on-call availability for emergencies.
