Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Deck Builder to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing decks that enhance outdoor living spaces. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately construct decks according to specifications
- Measure, cut, assemble, and install deck components using hand tools and power tools with precision
- Perform framing, including heavy lifting of materials such as lumber and concrete forms, ensuring structural integrity
- Install fixtures such as railings, stairs, lighting, and other deck accessories to complete the finished look
- Conduct site inspections to ensure safety standards are maintained throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with team members on fabrication tasks, rebar installation, siding, roofing, and other related construction activities
- Assist with restoration projects involving water damage remediation, mold remediation, or general repair work as needed
- Use schematics and technical instructions to guide installation processes accurately
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris responsibly
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction estimating, framing carpentry, trim carpentry, or related fields within the construction industry
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and metal stud framing techniques
- Strong background in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for complex projects
- Experience with concrete forming, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, electrical work, plumbing, and roofing preferred
- Knowledge of water damage restoration processes and mold remediation is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper technique
- Skilled in fixture installation such as doors, cabinets, siding, stucco finishes, and drywall repairs
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to carpentry or fabrication tasks is advantageous
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail in restoration or remodeling projects
- Valid experience in the restoration industry or handyman services is desirable
