Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Assist in menu planning to ensure a diverse and appealing selection of meals
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations
- Handle food items safely and appropriately during preparation and serving
- Cater events as required, ensuring quality presentation and service
- Utilize knife skills effectively for meal preparation
- Provide support in the dietary department as needed, including serving meals
Requirements
- Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in culinary or restaurant settings
- Dietary department experience is highly desirable
- Familiarity with food handling practices and food safety regulations
- Strong cooking skills with an emphasis on meal preparation and fine dining experience
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Previous catering or kitchen experience is a plus
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated
