Title Insurance Coordinator
Position Summary
The Title Insurance Coordinator is responsible for managing assigned title files from receipt of
the title order through issuance of the title commitment and final title insurance policies. This
position works closely with closing partners, attorneys, lenders, real estate professionals,
underwriters, and other transaction participants throughout the title process.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, responsive, and able to manage multiple files
and deadlines while providing excellent service to our closing partners. The Title Insurance
Coordinator will identify and follow up on outstanding requirements, assist with resolving title
issues, coordinate with underwriters as needed, and ensure files are complete and accurate
prior to policy issuance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Manage assigned title orders from receipt through issuance of the title commitment and
final title policies.
● Prepare and/or review title commitments and related title insurance documentation.
● Ensure title requirements and exceptions are accurately reflected in commitments and
policies.
● Review corrective instruments and other documentation submitted to satisfy title
requirements.
● Identify title issues that require underwriting guidance and coordinate with the
appropriate underwriter to resolve them.
● Escalate unusual or complex title matters to management or underwriting as appropriate.
● Prepare and/or review final owner's and lender's title insurance policies for accuracy,
including insured parties, legal descriptions, coverage, and exceptions.
● Coordinate corrections, endorsements, and policy revisions when necessary.
● Assist with post-closing policy issues and outstanding documentation.
● Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned closing partners throughout the title
process.
● Maintain accurate and complete electronic files in accordance with company procedures.
● Assist the Director of Title Operations with day-to-day operational matters and special
projects.
● Provide coverage for routine operational needs when the Director of Title Operations is
unavailable.
Qualifications
Required
● Previous experience in title insurance, title examination, title production, or a closely
related field.
● Working knowledge of title commitments, requirements, exceptions, and title insurance
policies.
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
● Ability to manage multiple files, priorities, and deadlines.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
● Ability to work independently while also knowing when to seek guidance.
● Professional and customer-service-oriented approach when working with closing
partners and other transaction participants.
● Proficiency with title production software, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
Preferred
● 3+ years of experience in title insurance operations.
● Experience preparing or reviewing title commitments and title insurance policies.
● Experience working with title insurance underwriters.
● Experience with SoftPro.
● Familiarity with South Carolina title practices and requirements.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
