ABOUT AMERICAN BATH GROUP
American Bath Group operates in a complex, multi-brand and multi-site environment that continues to evolve through growth and acquisitions. The Jackson logistics organization supports transportation activity across this broader network, with its scope moving toward approximately 19 sites.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager to lead day-to-day transportation operations in Jackson. This is a transportation-focused leadership role, not a warehouse or distribution-center management position.
You will take ownership of tactical transportation execution while strengthening the systems, processes, and leadership practices that support the team. The operation is stable and culturally healthy; the opportunity is to build on that foundation through clearer performance visibility, stronger operating discipline, frontline leadership development, and measurable continuous improvement.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead day-to-day tactical transportation operations for the Jackson team.
Provide hands-on leadership for dispatch and planning activities.
Oversee transportation execution involving FTL, LTL, load planning, load pooling, and carrier capacity.
Establish frontline KPIs that connect day-to-day activity to broader operational performance.
Create consistent daily and weekly operating-review routines and corrective-action practices.
Build and maintain SOPs and work instructions for key logistics processes.
Analize freight-spend performance and explain material variances.
Partner cross-functionally with plants, customers, carriers, and other internal stakeholders.
Coach and develop existing frontline leaders, including the supervisor and planner.
Identify practical opportunities for continuous improvement and more predictable transportation execution.
WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE
First 6 Months
Learn the ABG operating environment, team, and existing logistics processes before making significant changes.
Assess team capabilities and development priorities.
Define meaningful frontline L2/L3 performance measures connected to existing higher-level KPIs.
Establish consistent operating reviews and corrective-action cadence.
Document key processes through SOPs and work instructions.
Begin developing the supervisor and planner while assuming primary tactical escalation ownership.
By 6-12 Months
Frontline performance is consistently measured and managed.
Freight-spend variances are clearly explained.
Continuous improvement is visible and transportation execution is more predictable.
Operating documentation and leadership bench strength are stronger.
Tactical logistics ownership is established at the manager level.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is an onsite, hands-on leadership role within a lean, stable, closely connected team. The broader business environment is structurally complex, involving multiple brands, sites, plants, customers, carriers, and stakeholders.
The strongest fit will be transportation-fluent, analytical, process-minded, developmental, patient, credible, comfortable with ambiguity, and technically strong without being arrogant. The role is best suited to someone who understands an operation before changing it, earns trust, then introduces improvements and manages to measurable outcomes.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Deep Transportation Experience
You should already have established transportation-management capability. Relevant experience includes FTL, LTL, dispatch, load planning/load pooling, carrier execution, transportation pricing, market-rate comparison, freight-cost management, and cross-functional work with plants, customers, and carriers.
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
Demonstrated experience personally creating or strengthening operational KPIs, reporting cadence, corrective-action routines, SOPs, work instructions, and continuous-improvement practices is important.
People Leadership
You should be a mature people leader who earns trust before imposing change, develops frontline leaders, protects a healthy culture, and creates accountability without damaging engagement.
Preferred Background
Experience in transportation or logistics management within a manufacturer, shipper, carrier, dispatch, or load-planning environment.
Experience on both the carrier side and shipper/manufacturing side is especially attractive.
3G TMS experience is a plus, not required.
An advanced degree is not required.
WHY JOIN ABG
This role offers the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of an established transportation operation while helping move it to its next stage of maturity.
Lead a stable, culturally healthy team.
Build systems and processes with visible operational impact.
Develop emerging leaders and strengthen the leadership bench.
Influence transportation performance across a growing, multi-site organization.
Take on meaningful responsibility rather than simply maintain an existing system.
Build experience that can support progression toward broader leadership responsibility over time.
