We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing to lead the clinical operations of a senior living community in the Birmingham, Alabama area. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing resident care services, managing clinical staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a culture of excellence and compassionate care.
The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader who is organized, team-oriented, and passionate about serving seniors in an Assisted Living and/or Memory Care environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical operations of the community
- Supervise and support caregivers, med techs, and wellness staff
- Ensure quality resident care and compliance with state regulations
- Conduct resident assessments and care plan reviews
- Coordinate with physicians, pharmacies, hospice providers, and families
- Manage medication administration systems and clinical documentation
- Participate in staffing, scheduling, and staff training initiatives
- Assist with surveys, audits, and incident investigations
- Promote a positive and professional work environment
Qualifications
- Must hold a current LPN license in the state of Alabama
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing leadership experience in Assisted Living, Memory Care, Long-Term Care, or Senior Living
- Strong understanding of state regulations and resident care standards
- Experience managing and leading clinical teams
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with department leaders and families
- CPR certification preferred
