Pool Service Maintenance Technician Job Description Overview
A Pool Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing residential and commercial swimming pools, spas, and related equipment. This role ensures water quality, safety, and equipment functionality through regular inspections and treatments.
Key Responsibilities
- Water Testing & Treatment
- Test pool water for pH, chlorine, alkalinity, and other chemical levels.
- Add chemicals to balance water and ensure safe swimming conditions.
- Cleaning & Maintenance
- Skim debris, vacuum pool floors, brush walls, and clean filters.
- Empty skimmer and pump baskets.
- Equipment Inspection & Repair
- Inspect pumps, heaters, filters, and chlorinators for proper operation.
- Perform minor repairs or recommend replacements.
- Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain service logs and chemical usage records.
- Report issues or hazards to management or clients.
- Customer Service
- Communicate with clients about pool conditions and maintenance needs.
- Provide recommendations for upgrades or repairs.
Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of pool chemistry and water treatment.
- Familiarity with pool equipment and plumbing systems.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Certification (e.g., Certified Pool Operator) is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Base Pay: $600.00 - $700.00 per week
