Certified Medical Assistant (Full-Time)
Compensation: 18-23$ per hour based on experience.

Texas Premier Physicians is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and dependable Certified Medical Assistant to join our Primary Care Medicine practice. We are looking for a team player who enjoys providing excellent patient care and is comfortable performing both clinical and administrative duties, with a primary focus on back-office responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Clinical (Primary Responsibilities)
- Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs and medical histories.
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
- Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKGs, and other clinical procedures as needed.
- Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during office procedures.
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (Athena EHR experience is a plus).
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical equipment and exam rooms.
- Coordinate patient follow-up and communicate test results as directed.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Greet patients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process medication prior authorizations and specialty referrals if needed.
- Answer patient questions and provide outstanding customer service.
Qualifications
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in an outpatient Internal Medicine or Family Medicine practice preferred.
- Phlebotomy and injection skills.
- Knowledge of medication prior authorizations and insurance referrals.
- Experience with electronic health records (Athena experience preferred).
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Dependable, professional, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
