3K Lead Teachers Needed (South Brooklyn)

JOB DESCRIPTION: 3K LEAD TEACHER
Responsibilities:
Plan and implement developmentally appropriate and Creative Curriculum aligned weekly unit plans and daily lesson plans.
Supervise children at all times, ensuring their safety and well-being.
Collaboratively work with Assistant Teachers.
Work with parents to promote understanding, growth, and development of their child; effectively communicate with parents, verbally and in writing, throughout the year.
Maintain accurate record keeping including scholar attendance, developmental progress, daily health inspections.
Maintain an organized classroom and take responsibility for the upkeep of the classroom's educational equipment, materials, and appearance.
LEAD TEACHERS MUST meet the following criteria:
NYS Teacher Certification in Early Childhood Education or on a Study Plan with a commitment to obtain NY State Early Childhood teacher certification within seven years of employment.

About Our Program:
Exploration and discovery are used to learn, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and critical thinking skills. Our program concentrates on developing the "whole child" by building communication, social/emotional, cognitive, and physical skills. Children are encouraged to engage in "hands-on" experiences that lead to learning through discovery, recognition of logical consequences, organization of thoughts, facts, and problem-solving. We utilize the Creative Curriculum framework which supports our belief that children learn best when the classroom is child-centered with a focus on interest areas.
