Job Summary
We are seeking motivated and skilled professionals to join our construction team in the roles of Mixer Operator, Concrete Worker/Finisher, Overhead Crane Operator, and Concrete Form Setter. Duties
- Operate concrete mixers efficiently to produce consistent and high-quality concrete mixtures suitable for various construction applications.
- Set up and dismantle formwork systems, ensuring they are properly aligned and secure for concrete pouring.
- Pour, spread, level, and finish concrete surfaces with precision using hand tools and power tools to achieve smooth finishes.
- Operate overhead cranes safely for lifting heavy formwork, rebar, and other materials around the construction site.
- Install rebar reinforcement according to blueprints and technical drawings to strengthen concrete structures.
- Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to execute tasks accurately in accordance with specifications.
- Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for all team members during heavy lifting, equipment operation, and construction activities.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge of concrete mixers, power tools, hand tools, and heavy equipment operation.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate formwork construction and concrete placement.
- Construction estimating skills for planning material needs and project timelines.
- Experience with concrete forming techniques including formwork construction and metal stud framing.
- Proficiency in rebar installation, concrete pouring, finishing techniques, and surface treatments.
- Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations including OSHA standards; commitment to safety protocol adherence.
- Strong carpentry skills including trim carpentry, framing, roofing support, flooring installation, tile laying, plastering, restoration work, and masonry skills.
- Ability to operate heavy machinery such as cranes or forklifts safely; experience with commercial driving preferred.
- Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings and schematics; experience with renovation or restoration projects is a plus.
