Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and organize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold cleanliness standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques
- Support meal preparation by assembling ingredients and following menu plans under supervision
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety standards in production and food handling procedures
- Help with basic cooking tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen managers to ensure timely meal service
- Follow food safety management protocols to prevent contamination and ensure proper food handling practices
- Support catering and serving activities when needed, ensuring all food is prepared and presented according to quality standards
Requirements
- Previous experience in dietary departments, dietary aide roles, or food service environments is preferred
- Kitchen experience in restaurants or the food industry is highly advantageous
- Knowledge of safety standards in production, food handling, and food safety management practices
- Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and ingredient preparation methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting culinary operations
- Basic understanding of menu planning, meal preparation, and catering processes is a plus
