CV Resources is partnering with a national construction company in NE Portland to identify a Staff Accountant for its growing team. This is a fully onsite, temp-to-hire opportunity that offers full benefits, a flexible schedule, and a fun work environment.
Full cycle AP and experience with journal entries is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and update accounting records and files with project expenses, ledgers, and other financial documentation.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Support the budgeting process by gathering historical data and assisting with expense forecasting.
- Collaborate with project managers to track project costs and ensure alignment with budgets.
- Process invoices, and payments, while ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and standards, as well as relevant construction industry regulations.
- Participate in internal and external audits, providing necessary information and documentation.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures to improve efficiency.
- Payroll Tax filings
REQUIREMENTS
- Full cycle AP experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience in accounting or finance
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial data processing and reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
