Job Summary
The Before and After School Staff plays a vital role in creating a supportive and engaging environment for students. This position involves working closely with children in various educational and recreational settings, fostering their development through structured activities, guidance, and mentorship. Duties
- Facilitate classroom management to ensure a positive learning atmosphere.
- Implement behavior management strategies to support student engagement and discipline.
- Assist in the planning and execution of educational programs and activities.
- Provide first aid as needed, ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.
- Support special education initiatives by adapting programs to meet diverse learning needs.
- Participate in sports coaching or recreational activities to promote physical fitness.
- Collaborate with fellow staff members to create a cohesive team environment.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and program updates.
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred
- Background in early childhood education or childhood development is preferred.
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
- Strong skills in classroom management and behavior management techniques.
- Certification in first aid is highly desirable, but can obtain within 90 days of employment
- Experience in tutoring, daycare, camp counseling, or babysitting will be beneficial.
- Familiarity with sports coaching or theater arts is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and staff.
- A genuine passion for mentoring and supporting the growth of children.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
