Job Responsibilities
- Assist in planning weekly specials to minimize waste and consistently develop creative items for an active membership who utilize the club regularly
- Assists in the ordering of products and other necessary food supplies
- Ensures that high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the kitchen areas at all times.
- Assist with preparing specific menus for private events.
- Develops and documents recipes and techniques for food preparation and presentation which help to assure consistent high quality and to minimize food costs; exercises portion control over all items served.
- Cooks or directly supervises the cooking of items that require skillful preparation
- Responsible for set up of specific banquet events. Including buffets and room set up
- Evaluates food products to assure that quality standards are consistently attained
- Interacts with Executive Chef to assure that food production consistently exceeds the expectations of members and guests
- Interacts with membership at large in the dining room and during events to assure a visible presence and to foster ongoing direct communication
- Assist in training of service staff in areas pertaining to food.
- Monitors the timeliness of food preparation as it pertains to ala cart dining and other food service outlets.
- Supports volunteer run events at the club with preparation, cooking and basic organization.
- Coordinates use of temporary facilities as they pertain to food service.
- Helps design and implement new menu design strategies.
Job Requirements
- 1-3 years cooking experience
- Servsafe preffered
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
