We fabricate fully-customized components as well as our own collection, all built in-house at the highest standard of quality. We are looking to hire a Production Manager to join our team of craftsmen!
Job Summary: As a Production Manager, you will execute and lead a team of craftsmen executing the full manufacturing life cycle of our custom boating and fishing accessories including leaning posts, live wells, helm chairs, fighting chairs, rocket launchers, and more. You will oversee all elements of production, drive continuous improvement, and optimize all processes. The Production Manager will develop processes that will maximize stewardship, safety, quality and productivity. The Production Manager provides support to customers from order placement to final installation. Your schedule will be Monday through Friday daylight hours with some flexibility on start and finish times.
Job Duties:
- Plan, organize, coordinate, and schedule the daily activities of a team of craftsmen, ensuring efficient workflow and timely completion of projects.
- Allocate resources effectively and fully utilize assets to produce optimal results.
- Responsible for production output, product quality, and on-time shipping.
- Oversee preparation, manufacturing, and quality inspection of products, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
- Execute all manufacturing and assembly activities as needed.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure that all work meets or exceeds established standards and customer expectations.
- Manage inventory and supplies ensuring adequate stock levels and proper storage.
- Identify and partner with external vendors to effectively communicate production needs while ensuring cost and timelines are met.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of all products offered by the company.
- Collect and analyze data to find places of waste or overtime.
- Monitor operations and trigger corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the leadership team, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of goals.
- Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
- Monitor and enforce safety protocols to create a safe working environment, minimizing the risk of accidents and injuries.
- Stay up to date with latest production management best practices, concepts, industry trends, new techniques, and emerging technologies within the industry.
- Develop systems and processes that track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics and performance targets to ensure effective return on assets.
- Prepare reports on team performance, project status, and other relevant metrics for management review.
- Provide guidance and support to craftsmen, including training and mentoring to enhance their skills and ensure quality workmanship.
- Build and maintain a trusting relationship with team members to effectively coach, counsel, and discipline employees.
- Interview, recruit, onboard, and train new employees.
- Develop personal growth opportunities.
- Identify staffing and skill gaps within the team to develop and implement solutions to address those gaps.
- Collaborate and communicate with customers throughout the production process, providing technical support and addressing any concerns or inquiries.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Expertise with industry standard equipment and technical expertise.
- Knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, sales, inventory and stewardship processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members, customers, and external vendors.
- Handles complex issues and problems, and refers only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.
- Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Computer literacy.
- Proficiency in using relevant tools, equipment, and software applications.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and the needs of the company.
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire craftsmen to achieve goals and deliver high-quality results.
- Bachelor’s Degree degree in a related field, such as Business Management or Process Engineering. 7 years of relevant work experience, including business and operations management, may be considered in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- 5+ years of relevant experience such as fiberglass manufacturing or cabinetry.
- 2+ years of management experience.

Pay: $64,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
