- A Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Sunday–Thursday
- A Shift: 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- B Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Sunday–Thursday
- B Shift: 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, Monday–Friday
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Press Operator to join a fast-paced manufacturing and printing environment in Rochester, NY.
The Press Operator will be responsible for safely operating and setting up printing equipment, maintaining print quality, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring production runs efficiently. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and experience working with production machinery.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate printing presses and production equipment.
- Load materials, ink, and paper as required.
- Adjust press settings such as speed, pressure, and ink distribution to maintain quality.
- Perform equipment safety and performance checks.
- Monitor printed materials for color accuracy, registration, alignment, and overall quality.
- Make adjustments to maintain production and quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- Keep machinery and work areas clean and organized.
- Maintain accurate production, equipment, inventory, and safety records.
- Follow all safety procedures and production guidelines.
- Work with team members to improve production processes and resolve issues.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers and other departments.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years of manufacturing experience.
- Experience operating production equipment or machinery.
- Strong understanding of production procedures.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, manuals, and technical instructions.
- Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or additional hours as needed.
- Printing/press experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend occasionally.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit frequently.
- Ability to safely perform physical tasks associated with operating and maintaining production machinery.
