Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fluoroscopy Technician to join our pain management team. In this vital role, you will operate fluoroscopy equipment to assist physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, providing real-time imaging that guides patient care. Duties
- Prepare patients for fluoroscopic procedures by explaining the process and ensuring proper positioning to obtain optimal images.
- Operate fluoroscopy equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and aseptic techniques to prevent contamination.
- Assist physicians during procedures by adjusting imaging equipment, capturing high-quality images, and ensuring clear visualization of internal structures.
- Maintain detailed records of procedures, including patient information, imaging results, and any observations relevant to diagnostic evaluation.
- Ensure all equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and ready for use; report any malfunctions immediately.
- Follow strict infection control practices and maintain a sterile environment during invasive procedures.
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating fluoroscopy and other medical imaging devices.
- California Fluoro technician License
- Strong understanding of human anatomy and physiology to accurately position patients and interpret imaging results.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to radiology, nuclear medicine, and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during invasive procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly with patients and team members while providing compassionate care.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for imaging equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Awareness of radiation safety standards and protocols to protect patients and staff during fluoroscopic procedures.
