We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Licensed Embalmer to join our team. The ideal candidate is professional, compassionate, and committed to providing high-quality care for the deceased.
The Licensed Embalmer is responsible for the preparation and preservation of human remains for funeral services, viewings, cremations, and burials. This role requires, technical skill, and to ensure every decedent is handled with dignity and respect. The embalmer works closely with funeral directors and mortuary staff to support seamless operations and exceptional care. Deceased removal & transportation may be required. Work Shift: 12-hour shifts, 2-week rotating schedule. Every other weekend off. Shifts include nights, weekends, and holidays.
Responsibilities
- Perform embalming and restorative procedures in accordance with state and industry standards
- Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant preparation room
- Ensure proper handling, identification, and documentation of remains
- Work collaboratively with funeral directors and staff to meet service schedules
- Follow all applicable health, safety, and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
- Licensed Embalmer (state license required)
- Knowledge of embalming techniques, restorative art, and sanitation procedures
- Strong attention to detail and professionalism
- Ability to work independently and manage time-sensitive cases
- Compassionate and respectful demeanor when handling deceased individuals
Skills Assessment

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
