Position summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented CAD Drafter to join our team in the Oklahoma City metro area. In this role, you will work to translate sketches, design concepts, and redline markups into clean, production-ready 2D working drawings and 3D models.
What you’ll do
- Produce site plans and master plans
- Draft conceptual plans including structures and buildings
- Data collection with survey equipment
- Create layout and dimensioned plans
- Maintain clear revision tracking, revision clouds, and delta notations per document standards
- Draft grading and drainage plans (spot elevations, contours, swales)
- Produce landscape plans and plant schedules
- Draft construction details
- Landscape lighting plans
- Assemble drawing submittals, prepare sheet sets, and export high-quality PDF/DWF deliverables.
- Manage project folder structures, drawing archives, and file naming conventions.
- Pick up designer redlines quickly and accurately across active drawing sets
- Develop base maps from survey data, plats, architectural CAD files, and aerial imagery
- Assist with field data collection using survey equipment
- Enforce consistent layer standards, linetypes, lineweights, text styles, and dimension formatting
- Maintain and expand Studio W’s standard CAD blocks, dynamic components, and symbol libraries
- Assemble drawing submittals, prepare sheet sets
- Assist with material schedules, sheet indexes, and takeoffs as needed
- Maintain digital and physical files
- Have the opportunity to advance to Production Manager
What we’re looking for
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Extract and verify dimensions, clearances, alignments, and material call-outs directly from project criteria
- Ability to read and interpret design, architectural, and site drawings
- Strong attention to detail and clean drafting standards
- Efficient with everyday workplace technology (computers, email, Wi-Fi, printers, cloud file sharing, and Discord)
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a bonus
- Someone with Associate Degree or Certificate of Completion in Computer-Aided Drafting & Design(CADD), Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or related discipline (Francis Tuttle, Rose State, OCCC, OSU-OKC, CV Tech, or equivalent). Recent graduates welcome.
- Core Strengths: High visual precision, organized workflow habits, receptiveness to redlines, and proactive communication. Self starter, can work isolated but also in collaborative environments and listening skills
- Experience Level desired: Entry-level to 1-2 years hands-on CAD drafting experience
- Drafting Acumen: Strong grasp of architectural/technical drafting scales, dimensioning measurements and blueprint comprehension.
Pay: $15.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
