Position Overview
Afficient Academy is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager to expand the adoption of our AI-powered K–12 Math and English programs within the homeschool community. This role is responsible for developing partnerships with homeschool organizations, engaging parent communities, generating leads, and helping families discover effective educational solutions for their children.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and expand partnerships with homeschool organizations, networks, and learning communities.
- Promote Afficient Academy's K–12 Math and English programs to homeschool families and educational groups.
- Build relationships with homeschool parent communities, including online forums, social media groups, and local associations.
- Identify, evaluate, and participate in homeschool conferences, trade shows, exhibitions, and community events.
- Plan and execute marketing and advertising campaigns to increase brand awareness and generate qualified leads.
- Conduct consultations with prospective families to recommend appropriate learning programs.
- Monitor homeschool market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support customer acquisition, enrollment growth, and partner success.
Qualifications
Required
- Experience in business development, sales, marketing, or partnership management.
- Strong understanding of the homeschool market, curriculum landscape, and parent community.
- Familiarity with homeschool curriculum selection and purchasing processes.
- Knowledge of K–12 educational products and services, including online and in-person learning programs.
- Experience engaging with homeschool communities through social media, online forums, and local events.
- Excellent communication, presentation, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and achieve growth objectives.
Preferred
- Experience working with educational technology (EdTech) products or services.
- Familiarity with K–12 Mathematics and English curricula.
- Existing relationships within homeschool organizations or parent networks.
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary: $70,000–$90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
