About the Role
Sensitron Semiconductor designs and manufactures high-reliability discrete semiconductors and power electronics for applications where failure is not an option — commercial aerospace, space and launch vehicles, defense, and medical systems. As Production Supervisor for our Hi-Reliability discrete semiconductor product line, you direct, plan, and administer the production activities of the department providing direction and support across all work shifts, and owning on-time delivery, profitability, quality, and safety.

This position is onsite in our Hauppauge, NY facility.
Hours per week and schedule: 7am to 3:30pm
Reports To: Production Manager
Non-Exempt Position
Key Responsibilities-
Manage production for on-time delivery, profitability, and the quality and safety of production processes.

Achieve the productivity, quality, and safety goals of the department.

Manage production activities and provide direction and support for all work shifts; establish work schedules and assignments, when necessary, directly or through supervisors.

Establish department procedures and set priorities.

Drive cost-saving initiatives, efficiency gains, process improvements, proper labor utilization, and improvements in yield rates.

Work with the sales department and business development manager to achieve a high level of customer satisfaction.

Enforce company policies, standards, quality methods, and ISO procedures.

Address employee concerns; resolve problems; train, coach, and discipline employees; and make recommendations for hiring and firing.

Other duties as assigned.
Required Experience and Knowledge-
1 to 5 years supervisory experience, preferred if in a semiconductor or electronics manufacturing production environment.

Familiar with semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environments and processes.

Highly organized and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Well-developed organizational and interpersonal skills; a self-starter and self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a motivational influence on the team.

Familiarity working within an ERP system, Epicor ERP preferred

Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
