Responsibilities
- Develop personalized employment plans by assessing clients’ skills, interests, and needs through effective interviewing and counseling techniques
- Provide ongoing mentoring, coaching, and support to clients throughout their job search, onboarding, and retention processes
- Collaborate with employers, community partners, and service providers to identify suitable job opportunities and facilitate placements
- Conduct training sessions on workplace skills, social interactions, and disability awareness to prepare clients for success in diverse work environments
- Maintain detailed case management records to track progress, document outcomes, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations
- Assist clients with navigating workplace accommodations, understanding labor laws related to employment and disabilities, and addressing challenges such as addiction or behavioral issues
- Recruit new clients by engaging with community organizations serving underserved populations and promoting workforce development initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder or other disabilities in a coaching or mentoring capacity
- Knowledge of employment & labor law as it relates to disability rights and workplace accommodations
- Background in social work, case management or workforce development programs is highly desirable
- Strong interviewing, training & development skills to assess needs and deliver effective support strategies
- Ability to work compassionately with individuals from diverse backgrounds including underserved communities
- Experience in addiction counseling or behavioral support is a plus
- Excellent communication skills for recruiting clients, collaborating with partners, and delivering training sessions

Pay: $20.00 - $30.91 per hour
