Job Summary
MPH Energy Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Hydraulic Workover / Snubbing Tong Operator to join our growing well intervention team. This position plays a critical role in live well operations, supporting safe pipe handling, pressure control, and precision execution during snubbing and hydraulic workover jobs.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with power tongs, pipe handling systems, pressure control equipment, and HWO/snubbing operations in high-performance field environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate hydraulic power tongs during snubbing and workover operations
- Assist with tripping pipe in and out of the well safely
- Support rig-up and rig-down of snubbing units and pressure control equipment
- Maintain and inspect BOPs, stripping rams, annulars, and related hydraulic systems
- Assist in work basket and pipe handling operations
- Follow all JSA, BOSS card, and pre-job planning requirements
- Communicate effectively with Supervisors, Operators, and floor crews
- Perform routine equipment inspections and minor troubleshooting
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite
- Follow all company and customer QHSE standards and well control procedures
Qualifications
- 1+ years of oilfield experience preferred, including workover, snubbing, coiled tubing, rig operations, or well intervention
- Experience working around pressure control equipment and hydraulic systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb, bend, and work in elevated environments
- Comfortable working long hours, offshore rotations, nights, and weekends
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Must be dependable and able to respond to call-outs and schedule changes
- Ability to work safely in fast-paced, high-pressure field environments
