Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Child Care Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our faith based early childhood education center. Duties
- Manage the overall operation of the childcare center, including staff supervision, curriculum implementation, and regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain a safe, welcoming environment that promotes learning, growth, and well-being for children of various ages including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
- Recruit, train, evaluate, and support teaching staff to ensure high-quality classroom management and child development instruction
- Oversee daily classroom activities, ensuring adherence to educational standards and individualized care plans for children with disabilities or special needs
- Implement policies related to mandated reporting laws, health & safety protocols, and licensing requirements
- Foster strong communication with parents and guardians to keep them informed about their child's progress and center events
- Coordinate ongoing professional development opportunities for staff in areas such as early childhood education, behavior management, pediatric first aid, and special education practices
Requirements
- Proven experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings; classroom experience is essential
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education standards, and classroom management techniques
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR; additional training in special education or working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child abuse or neglect
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage staff effectively while maintaining a positive team environment
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, staff, and community partners
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is beneficial but not required; a genuine passion for working with children is essential

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
