Sales Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service while promoting the safe, responsible, and legal sale of cannabisproducts. This position assists customers by providing accurate product information, processing sales transactions, maintaining store presentation standards, and ensuringcompliance with all applicable cannabis legislation, company policies, and security procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Welcome customers in a friendly, professional, and inclusive manner.
Verify customer age and identification in accordance with applicable legislation and company policies before permitting entry or completing a sale.
Build positive customer relationships through knowledgeable, respectful, and personalized service.
Educate customers on cannabis product categories, formats, cannabinoid content, terpene profiles, consumption methods, and responsible use, while remaining within the scope of applicable regulations and company policies.
Assist customers in selecting products based on their stated preferences, intended use, and experience level without making medical claims or providing medical advice.
Maintain current knowledge of cannabis products, accessories, promotions, and industry developments.
Process sales, returns, and exchanges accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, in accordance with company policies and applicable regulations.
Recommend complementary products and accessories where appropriate toenhance the customer experience.
Restock merchandise, replenish displays, and rotate inventory as required.
Maintain accurate product pricing and ensure shelves and displays are clean, organized, and fully stocked.
Assist with receiving inventory, inventory counts, and reconciliation activities.
Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies, damaged products, or low stock to management.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sales floor, customer areas, and workstations.
Follow all security procedures for the handling, storage, and sale of cannabisproducts.
Protect customer privacy by maintaining the confidentiality of customer information.
Resolve routine customer concerns professionally and refer complex issues to management when appropriate.
Support loss prevention initiatives by identifying and reporting suspicious activity or policy violations.
Comply with all applicable cannabis legislation, occupational health and safety requirements, and company policies.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
Position Requirements
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
Cannabis retail experience is an asset.
Experience using POS systems and basic computer applications preferred.
Knowledge
Knowledge of cannabis products, including dried flower, pre-rolls, edibles, beverages, concentrates, extracts, topicals, and accessories.
Understanding of cannabinoids, terpenes, product formats, and responsible consumption practices.
Knowledge of applicable cannabis legislation, age verification requirements, and retail compliance standards.
Familiarity with inventory control and loss prevention practices.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
