As a Cabinet Maker at Fixtures International, you will play a vital role in crafting high-quality cabinetry that enhances our clients' retail and commercial spaces. Responsibilities
Fixtures International is looking for someone who can build custom cabinets, counters, and showcases by studying blueprints and specifications; setting-up and operating equipment; verifying dimensions; assembling and finishing components.
- Construct, assemble, and install custom cabinets according to specifications and blueprints.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and schematics to ensure precision.
- Select appropriate materials and tools for each project.
- Collaborate with designers and project managers to meet client expectations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment on all job sites.
- Ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to quality standards.
- Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process.
- Set up and operate a variety of woodworking machines and use various hand tools to fabricate and repair cabinets and showcases. Must be able to read and follow prints of items to be built
- Set up and operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointer, mortiser, tenoner, molder, and sharper
- Trim component parts of joints to ensure snug fit
- Control costs by conserving use of equipment and supplies
- Prepare articles for finishing.
- Laminate or edge band items as necessary and put on any required hardware
Qualifications
Fixtures International is seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cabinetry construction and installation. Key qualifications include:
- Proven experience in cabinet making or related carpentry roles.
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to lift heavy materials safely.
- Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites. Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience with custom woodworking or high-end cabinetry.
- Familiarity with fabrication processes.
- Employees must have their own tools
Pay: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour
