Are You the Person Who Plans the Vacation Budget as Enthusiastically as the Vacation Itself?
Do you get genuine satisfaction from a perfectly organized schedule, a color-coded spreadsheet, and a to-do list where everything is checked off? Are you the person friends call when they need someone to "figure out the logistics"? Can you juggle a dozen moving parts, keep multiple people informed, and stay calm when three things change at once?
At Nelson Exteriors, our Project Coordinator is the person who makes sure every renovation project runs smoothly behind the scenes. After a homeowner signs their contract, you become their main point of contact. You set their expectations, answer their questions, order their materials, build their project budget, and coordinate their schedule. When you do your job well, the homeowner feels taken care of, the project manager has everything they need, and the crews show up to a job site that's fully prepped and ready to go.
This is a high-impact, detail-intensive role for someone who thrives on organization, communication, and making order out of complexity. If your superpower is managing ALL. THE. THINGS. - and you don't just avoid dropping the ball, you slam dunk it - this is your role.
For over 48 years, Nelson Exteriors has been a trusted family-owned exterior remodeling business in Atlanta, Georgia. We've helped over 10,000 homeowners fall in love with their homes again, specializing in siding, roofing, windows, doors, decks, painting, gutters, and outdoor living spaces. Our reputation speaks for itself: we maintain an average 4.8-star rating across Google, Facebook, and Nextdoor because we stand by our promise: "Love the way your home looks."
At Nelson Exteriors, WE CARE:
- Communication: We listen with intent.
- Authenticity: We do what's right, not just what's easy.
- Reliability: We build lasting relationships.
- Execution: We deliver high-quality results.
If you share these values and want to be part of a fast-growing and award-winning team, this is your opportunity.

As a Jobs Coordinator, you are the operational backbone of our project delivery. You sit between the customer, the project manager, and the vendors - making sure information flows, materials arrive, schedules hold, and nothing slips through the cracks. You'll manage multiple projects simultaneously, and every single one of them depends on your organization and communication to stay on track.
This is an in-office role based in Marietta. You don't need construction experience to succeed here - but you do need to be exceptionally organized, an excellent communicator, and someone who can learn quickly and adapt under pressure. We have a structured onboarding program that will train you on our systems, processes, and products so you feel confident and capable from the start.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the main point of contact for homeowners after they sign their contract
- - set expectations, provide updates, and address questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy
- Create project budgets and work orders for each job
- Order materials from vendors and coordinate delivery schedules to job sites
- Maintain the company project schedule map with accurate, up-to-date project details
- Coordinate with project managers, crews, and subcontractors to ensure projects stay on time and within budget
- Keep project managers, customers, and vendors informed about job site progress and any changes
- File and maintain all compliance documentation, permits, and safety records
- Manage and distribute company email communications related to active projects
- Handle customer concerns and schedule disruptions (weather delays, material backorders, emergencies) with composure and clear communication
- Maintain detailed records and project documentation in JobNimbus (our CRM and project management platform)
- Proactively identify scheduling conflicts, budget issues, or communication gaps before they become problems
What We're Looking For:
Highly organized
- - managing multiple projects, schedules, vendor orders, and customer communications simultaneously is the core of this job
An excellent communicator - - you can explain a schedule delay to a frustrated homeowner just as clearly and calmly as you can coordinate a material delivery with a vendor
Detail-oriented - - you catch the things other people miss, and you document everything
Calm under pressure - - renovation projects involve moving parts, unexpected changes, and occasionally stressed homeowners. You handle it all with grace and professionalism
Comfortable learning new software - - we'll train you on JobNimbus, but you should be the kind of person who picks up new tools quickly
- Proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, Sheets, Docs, Calendar)
Strong problem-solving skills - - when something goes sideways, you don't freeze. You find the solution and communicate it
- Prior experience in project coordination, scheduling, office administration, or customer-facing operations is preferred
Construction industry experience is a plus but not required - - we will train you on our products, processes, and procedures
What You Don't Need:
- A construction background (we teach you everything you need to know about exterior remodeling)
- Experience with JobNimbus or any specific CRM (we train you)
- A college degree (though one in business, communications, or a related field is a plus)
Why This Role Is Worth Your Attention:
- You're not an assistant - you're the hub. Every active project flows through you. Project managers depend on your schedules. Homeowners depend on your communication. Vendors depend on your orders. You're the person who connects all the pieces.
- You talk to real people about real projects. This isn't data entry in a back office. You're on the phone with homeowners helping them navigate one of the biggest investments they'll make. When they leave a five-star review saying "the whole process was so smooth" - that's because of you.
- You'll learn an entire industry. Even if you've never touched a piece of siding in your life, within six months you'll understand how a residential renovation operation runs from contract to completion. That knowledge is valuable - whether you grow into a senior role here or anywhere in the construction industry.
- Structured training, not sink-or-swim. We don't hand you a laptop and say "good luck." We have a structured onboarding program that ramps you up progressively - starting with the basics, building to full project ownership. You'll know exactly what's expected and have the support to get there.
- Weekends off. Stable hours. A company that's been here for 48 years. You can build a career here, not just fill a seat.
Compensation and Benefits:
Full Time Position
- - In-Office, Marietta, GA
- $65,000 - $75,000 per year (based on experience)
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- Paid time off and paid vacations (available after one year)
- 401K with company match (available after one year)
- Weekends off
- We will train you on our procedures, scheduling tools, and policies to set you up for success.
