What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.

Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate site contacts when needed.

Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.

Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, observing visitor activity, and reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.

Assist with de-escalation support during tense interactions, provide directions and information to the public, and help to maintain orderly operations in high-traffic and/or sensitive service areas.
Minimum Requirements:

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.

Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.

Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
