Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Active New Jersey SLP licensure (required)
- Prior experience in a school-based setting is strongly preferred
- Comfortable working with elementary, middle, and high school students
- Strong assessment, therapy, and documentation skills
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess speech, language, and communication needs of students across various grade levels
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address IEP goals
- Provide both direct and consultative SLP services based on student needs
- Document progress and maintain accurate records consistent with school and regulatory requirements
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student support planning
- Educate and provide resources to staff and families to further student success
- Stay current on best practices and compliance standards for school-based speech-language services
