Sutter Metals is seeking dependable Warehouse Associates to support daily operations at our busy metal recycling facility in Tacoma, WA. This role is ideal for candidates who are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment both independently and as part of a team.
Shifts Available:
- 2:30pm - 11:30pm (Monday - Friday)
POSITION DETAILS:
- Sort recyclable materials by type, including ferrous and non-ferrous metals.
- Cut, strip, and sort various types of wire and related materials.
- Operate a forklift to safely move materials and loads throughout the warehouse.
- Weigh and record incoming materials accurately to support proper customer payouts.
- Assist customers and vendors in a professional, courteous, and helpful manner.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and follow all safety procedures.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with non-ferrous materials (preferred, not required)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with forklifts (or larger equipment) (preferred, not required)
