Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This position requires a strong understanding of food handling and preparation techniques, as well as the ability to work collaboratively within a kitchen team to ensure exceptional dining experiences for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
- Assist in menu planning, including seasonal dishes and specials.
- Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and communicate needs to management.
- Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, preferably in a restaurant setting.
- Strong knowledge of food handling, preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaboration.
- Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities is a plus.
- Knowledge of menu planning and dietary department operations is desirable.
- Must be able to follow instructions accurately and maintain attention to detail.
