Job Description
We are seeking a driven Community Association Manager to oversee the management and administration of our community association properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, along with an ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
Property Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the community association properties.
- Coordinate maintenance, repairs, and capital improvement projects.
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and maintenance standards.
- Address maintenance issues promptly and effectively.
- Manage vendor contracts and services.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget.
- Collect association dues and assess fees.
- Ensure timely payment of invoices and bills.
- Prepare financial reports for the association board.
Community Relations:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for residents, board members, and vendors.
- Organize and attend association meetings and events.
- Communicate effectively with residents regarding community policies, procedures, and issues.
- Mediate disputes and enforce community rules and regulations.
Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to the association.
- Prepare and distribute newsletters, notices, and other communications.
- Manage association correspondence and files
Skills
- Self-starter and Team Player: Demonstrated ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members to achieve common goals
- Communication Skills: Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to address inquiries, concerns, and requests professionally and promptly.
- Organization and Time Management: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently
- Proficiency with Word, Outlook, and Excel: Ability to create documents, manage emails, and utilize spreadsheets effectively to support property management tasks and administrative duties
Work Remotely
- Initial Training Period: The successful candidate will be required to work in person for the first six months to undergo comprehensive training and immerse themselves in our company culture, processes, and properties. During this period, on-site presence will be essential to facilitate effective learning and integration into the role.
- Remote Work Policy: Following the initial training period, remote work options may be available at the discretion of Katonah Management Services. Employees may be permitted to work remotely for up to two days per week, subject to approval based on job performance, operational needs, and individual circumstances. Remote work arrangements will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis to ensure continued productivity and collaboration.
