ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN
OPPORTUNITY
GPMS International is seeking a full-time Manufacturing Technician to support the assembly, configuration, inspection, and testing of our proprietary aerospace electronics products. This hands-on role works closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to ensure products are built accurately, tested thoroughly, and shipped to customers with the highest level of quality and reliability.
The Manufacturing Technician will be responsible for loading software and firmware, performing functional testing, troubleshooting product issues, inspecting assemblies, maintaining production records, and supporting continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with electronics and mechanical assemblies, has strong troubleshooting abilities, and takes pride in producing high-quality work. Experience with soldering, electrical testing, and technical assembly is highly valued. Aviation or aerospace experience is beneficial but not required.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assemble, configure, and inspect electronic and mechanical products according to work instructions and engineering documentation
- Load software and firmware onto sensors, modems, and related hardware
- Perform functional testing and verification of products prior to shipment
- Troubleshoot assembly and test failures to identify root causes and support corrective actions
- Maintain accurate production, test, and quality records
- Track work orders through the manufacturing and testing process and communicate status updates as needed
- Inspect incoming and manufactured components for quality and conformance
- Perform soldering, wiring, and rework activities as required
- Support inventory accuracy and proper material handling practices
- Identify opportunities for process improvements that enhance quality, efficiency, and safety
- Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of test equipment, tools, and workstations
- Support engineering and quality teams during new product introductions and production transitions
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree in Electronics, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly, testing, or a related technical environment
- Working knowledge of basic electrical circuits and electronic test equipment
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, assembly instructions, and bills of materials
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Experience with soldering and electronic assembly required
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in aerospace, aviation, or other regulated manufacturing environments is a plus
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 quality systems is a plus
- Must enjoy the entrepreneurial atmosphere of a small, fast-growing company
LOCATION
This position is based at our headquarters in Waterbury, Vermont. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Work hours can be somewhat flexible but are expected to occur during normal business hours to support production activities and collaboration with other team members.
COMPENSATION
This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws.
Compensation is expected to range from $22-$32 per hour plus full benefits, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is classified as non-exempt and is eligible for overtime in accordance with applicable laws.
